Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 July 2026
TL;DR: Use LifeOS responsibly. Don't abuse it. We'll do our best to keep it running well. Early access is currently free, paid plans are not live yet, and you own your data.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using LifeOS, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. Simple as that.
2. What LifeOS Is
LifeOS is a personal life management platform that helps you manage goals, tasks, habits, journal entries, health tracking, finances, and more. It includes an AI assistant, reflection, social accountability, and Realm features.
3. Accounts
- You need an account to use LifeOS. Sign up with email or Google OAuth.
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- One account per person. Don't share accounts.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use LifeOS.
4. Early Access and Future Paid Plans
LifeOS is currently operating as a free early-access product while we polish the app, usage limits, and billing infrastructure.
- Current access: No subscription or card is required to use the app during early access.
- AI limits: AI usage is protected by server-side daily and abuse-prevention limits. Current allowances are shown in the app and may change during beta.
- Future paid plans: Builder Pro, Founder, or similar paid plans may be offered later, but they will not become active until Stripe checkout, webhooks, and account entitlements are verified.
We will not charge you unless you explicitly choose a paid plan through a verified checkout flow once billing launches.
5. Your Data
- You own your data. Everything you create in LifeOS belongs to you.
- We need a license to host and display your data back to you (obviously). That's the extent of it.
- You can access and correct your data in the app. Export tooling is being expanded; contact us if you need help retrieving your data.
- If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days.
6. Acceptable Use
Don't:
- Use LifeOS for anything illegal
- Try to hack, reverse-engineer, or exploit the platform
- Abuse the AI assistant (spam, prompt injection, harmful content)
- Create fake accounts or impersonate others
- Use automated tools to scrape or flood the service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
7. AI Assistant
The AI assistant is provided as-is. It can be helpful but isn't perfect:
- Don't rely on AI responses for medical, financial, or legal advice
- AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate
- We're not liable for decisions made based on AI suggestions
8. Availability
We aim for high uptime but can't guarantee 100% availability. LifeOS is a growing product — there may be maintenance windows, updates, and occasional bugs. We'll do our best to communicate planned downtime.
9. Limitation of Liability
LifeOS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:
- We're not liable for data loss (though we take backups seriously)
- We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months, or AUD $0 if you have only used the free early-access service
10. Intellectual Property
The LifeOS brand, design, code, and content (excluding user data) belong to us. You get a license to use the app — not ownership of it.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms as LifeOS evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Melbourne, Victoria.
